Series of fixed images, 1991-1993

Comparing the programming process - rational, intellectual - with its production of gestual traces which are the product of a gesture which has not taken place. Outgest plays with this paradox, and questions this "lack" of the body. Can energy be transmitted through numbers ? What part can automatism leave for subjectivity ? The images, initially very " Mathieu ", finally find their own identity : a mixture of gestuality and 3D effects. Some of these images are exhibited with " real " objects (roots, broken glass...).
